Short answer: Start at the artist's or organiser's own announcement, follow its link to the official seller, and read that event's terms for identity, pickup and cancellation before you pay. Those terms are set per event, so no general rule can replace them.

Pre-payment checklist

  • Reached the seller from the organiser's or artist's own official notice
  • Date, session, venue and any age restriction match the notice
  • Account and booker name match the details the event requires
  • Know which physical ID is accepted for this event
  • Understand how tickets are collected or delivered, and who may collect
  • Read the cancellation deadline and any fees for this exact event
  • Know whether resale or transfer is allowed
  • Saved the confirmation offline

1. Trace the seller from the organiser

Begin at the artist's or organiser's own channel and follow the link it gives to the seller. Don't start from a search result or a social post you can't trace back. This guide does not claim that any one platform sells every official show. If the notice names a platform, check that you are on that platform's own site before entering details.

2. Confirm the exact show

Match the date, session and venue on the listing to the organiser's notice. Look for any age restriction on the event terms. If anything differs between the listing and the notice, resolve it before paying.

3. Match your details to the event's requirements

There is no universal ID rule. Use the terms of the event you are buying.

What YES24 Ticket's FAQ says, as one example of a platform (YES24 Ticket FAQ, read 2026-10-04):

  • Booking is for members only, and Global YES24 Ticket has a separate registration from existing YES24 or global.yes24.com accounts.
  • Booking dates and ticket limits can differ by event.

What that suggests you do: register on the platform the event actually uses, and make the name on your account match the identity you'll carry. The FAQ notes that a mismatch between the account name and the passport name can cause trouble at pickup.

4. Pickup, will-call and payment

From the same FAQ, which covers YES24 and not every Korean concert:

  • Its venue-pickup answer refers to a valid physical ID or passport plus your booking-confirmation record, and says the specific show's own policy takes priority.
  • Its will-call answer says the ticket holder collects, and that a show can have a different policy.

Before paying, find your event's own pickup or delivery terms, who may collect, and what to bring. If they aren't stated, ask the organiser or seller before you buy. Don't assume a friend can collect on your behalf.

5. Cancellation, fees and resale

The FAQ's fee text mixes an older KRW 2,000 figure with a 2023 notice of KRW 3,000, so this guide states no booking fee. Its cancellation guidance is general and deadlines vary by event. Before paying, read your event's cancellation deadline and any fees at checkout. Also check the event terms for resale or transfer limits. This guide offers no authenticity guarantee for resale tickets, and an unverifiable seller is a reason to stop.

6. Keep your confirmation and recheck before you travel

  • Save the confirmation, booking number and terms offline as they stood when you paid.
  • Recheck the organiser's notice shortly before travelling for changes to date, venue or entry conditions.
  • Keep your accepted ID and booking details together.
